The Sony Future Filmmaker Awards National & Regional Awards celebrate outstanding filmmaking talent from participating countries and regions, recognising both established and emerging voices, supporting local filmmaking communities, and spotlighting the breadth and diversity of filmmakers working across the globe today.
The programme comprises two strands: the National & Regional Awards, recognising filmmakers entering the Fiction, Non-Fiction and Animation categories, and the National & Regional Student Awards, celebrating the fresh perspectives and creative potential of student filmmakers.
Filmmakers based in participating countries and regions are automatically eligible for the relevant strand when they enter the eligible categories of the Sony Future Filmmaker Awards. Selected filmmakers receive a range of prizes and opportunities to gain recognition and showcase their work on an international stage.
