On-Site Program

Aimed at directors, cinematographers and producers, the on-site program offers up-and-coming creators exclusive insight into the world of filmmaking. The program is held at the historic Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles and is led by Sony Pictures executives, providing an unparalleled industry-immersion experience. All shortlisted filmmakers are invited and flown to Los Angeles to participate.

Workshops

The shortlisted filmmakers have the opportunity to deepen their understanding of the industry through cinematography masterclasses and learn how to navigate the business of film through Q&As with prestigious talent agencies, acquisitions teams, casting directors, productions managers and many other industry professionals.

Screenings

Filmmakers have the opportunity to get to know the works of their fellow filmmakers through a curated program of screenings held at Sony Pictures Studios.

Featuring the shortlisted films that brought each participant to the program, filmmakers familiarise themselves with the diverse storytelling approaches of this year's selection. 

Tours

As part of the workshop program, shortlisted filmmakers take part in curated tours. Past experiences have ranged from exploring cutting-edge technologies in cinema to gaining a deeper understanding of this studio's rich filmmaking history.

Awards Ceremony

The program culminates in a black-tie Awards ceremony at Sony Pictures Studios during which the overall winners are announced. The evening provides an opportunity to celebrate the filmmakers' achievements and to network with peers, Sony Pictures executives, and other industry professionals.
